How to make contributions

Do you want to contribute?

Send us an email! You don’t have to have a finished product, feel free to also pitch us your ideas and we can help you asseble your contribution.

English contributions: anemarie.anderson@gmail.com

Arabic contributions: riham.kharroub@gmail.com

Deadline: October 31st

Written contributions

The book itself will be written in Arabic and English, so choose your language, and we will assist with translation.

We want relatively short texts that are easy to read and understand:
o Very short: under 100 words
o Medium:  ~400 words
o Long: ~800 words

Remember that arabic texts will be longer in English!

What kind of writings are we looking for?

We are open to many different types of written contributions. We want the book to be an expression of peoples experiences with larp in, from and in cooperation with arab countries, and we don’t want to limit the format of written contributions too much.

Some suggestions for types of texts we would like to see are:

o Players experiences and reflections
o Organizer experiences and reflections
o Poems
o Character reflections
o Game descriptions
o Soft-skill descriptions (“what I learned from the larp or the process”)
o Diary entries from ongoing projects
o Quotes
o Material from other publications: Knutepunkt books, Nordic larp talks, blogs etc (demands permissions)
o Interviews
o Thoughts about the games on a meta level and the issues they address
o Other?

Pictures and graphic contributions
We are very interested in different kinds of graphic documentation of different larp projects.

We are looking for photos taken in game or offgame. They can be combined with text or not. They can be of an artistic nature, or of a documenting nature. If you have nice photos you want to share, please send them too us!

Other types of graphic contributions are also welcome. Illustrations like chatracter portraits, charicatures, even sketches will fit well into the format of the book. Maybe you want to make a comic strip, or you have some in-game artwork? We are also looking for design and graphics made for games that have been played.
